About Soraia family

The journey of Soraia family with coffee began in 2000, driven by love for the land and a desire to produce with excellence. It was in that year that they took their first steps in coffee farming, beginning a journey that, with hard work and dedication, would grow with each new harvest.

Over the years, their cultivated area expanded in the Cerrado Mineiro region. In 2012, a new phase began: their son Augusto returned from his studies and joined the farm’s management, bringing new ideas, technology, and a focus on sustainability and quality.

The big milestone came in 2019, when the family decided to invest in the production of specialty coffees. The result was surprising: in that same year, they won several awards in regional and national competitions—and since then, their award-winning coffees continue to garner recognition and admirers around the world.

Their coffee production is divided between two farms: Fazenda Salitre and Fazenda Jacu. Each has its own identity, terroir, and history, but both are united by the same purpose—to offer high-quality coffees, cultivated with care, respect, and passion.

More than coffee, the Soraia family cultivates tradition, innovation, and excellence in every bean.

ARARA CLASSIC

A classic Brazilian lot with heavy body, perfect for blends or single origin espresso. This is a single variety lot that consists solely of Arara which were arvested mechanically. Afterwards, they were washed to select only the ripest cherries, followed by depulping. The cherries were spread on concrete patios to dry until they reached perfect humidity levels.

ARARA LIME

This arara is a naturally processed lot. After the cherries were harvested, Soraia family fermented them in barrels together with limes. The cherries were dried on raised beds. The result is a fruity coffee with a delicate body and long aftertaste. Perfect for lovers of co-fermented coffees.

ARARA MICROLOT

This lot is a lovely fermented arara. The cherries underwent 48 hours of anaerobic fermentation after which they were depulped, making this arara a fully washed lot. After depulping, the cherries were put to rest under a plastic cover which caused another, lighter aerobic fermentation. The result is a coffee scoring 90 points and a dream of every brew lover.
